Albert Receives Miller Research Professorship

Albert receives 2025-2026 Miller Professorship Award to pursue chemical ecology project

Albert is one of the UC Berkeley faculty who received a 2025-2026 Miller Professorship Award, allowing him a year to pursue new research directions. We are grateful to the Miller Institute for Basic Research in Science for their support.

The Ruhi Lab is starting a new research line focused on how drought can disrupt the production and transfer of critical omega-3 fatty acids along freshwater food webs, from algae to aquatic insects and the terrestrial vertebrates that feed on them. This research should help us better understand the significance of cross-ecosystem linkages driven by critical dietary components like omega-3 fatty acids.
